I was born and raised in San Francisco, California. After college I spent 20 years traveling the world as a military spouse. During that time I landed in Stafford County, Virginia, and have been a proud resident for over 20 years. All five of my children graduated from Brooke Point High School and I am happy to call myself a parent of "Blackhawks".
Currently, I am working on completing my MA/MBA in Government from the Johns Hopkins Carey Business School. I am also an active member of the American Association of University Women and the League of Women Voters.
When not studying I spend time with my grandchildren, volunteering at my church, antiquing, pursuing interior design & home renovations and living life in health, nutrition and fitness.
